How do I book a stay at Doon Niwas?

To Book your stay, reach out to us by Mobile/ WhatsApp at +91-8077253377, or Email: [email protected]. Alternatively, you can also book through our website by selecting your dates and room type. Feel free to contact us by phone or email for personalized assistance.   

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Standard Check-in time is 12:00 PM, and Check-out is 10:00 AM. Early check-in or Late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability. Please inform us of your expected arrival time in advance.

What types of accommodation do you offer at Doon Niwas Homestay?

We offer a spacious private, fully-furnished 2-Bedroom Apartment on the first floor  featuring  a Living room, a full Kitchen, and two bathrooms. Both Bedrooms have 2 King-size beds, and 2 spacious balconies with open Terrace. Offers stunning views of Mussoorie and Maldevta Mountains in a serene, green environment.  The apartment is three-sides open, providing great natural light and ventilation, and is ideal for families, couples or small groups.

Can I request an early Check-in or late Check-out?

Early Check-in or late Check-out is subject to the availability of the apartment and may incur an extra half-day charge. Kindly call us the day before your arrival or departure to check for availability.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Cash, UPI (Google Pay, Paytm, etc.), and Bank Transfer. Policies may vary by booking platform, so check your details.

How far is Doon Niwas Homestay from major transport hubs?

          Our location is highly convenient:

  • Dehradun Railway Station: Approximately 5 km

  • Dehradun Clock Tower: Approximately 4 km

  • ISBT (Bus Terminal): Approximately 11 km

  • Jolly Grant Airport (DED): Approximately 28 km

How can I reach Doon Niwas Homestay?

Doon Niwas is conveniently located in Aamwala Tarla, Dehradun, 2.6 km from Survey Chowk and 4 km from Clock Tower. Contact us via WhatsApp for location details.  Bus travelers should get off at Rispana Pull and take a cab to Survey Chowk. Shuttle/Pickup service from the airport or railway station is available upon request, cor use local transport like Ola, Uber. 

Does Doon Niwas offer mountain views?

Yes, Doon Niwas Homestay is nestled in a location that offers stunning views of the surrounding Mussoorie and Maldevta foothills. Our Balcony,Terrace common areas provide picturesque vistas, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea or simply relaxing.

What activities can guests enjoy nearby or at the homestay?

Guests can enjoy the mountain views, indoor Yoga and games area, and the open terrace. We are near main picnic spots and the natural hill landscape is great for Cycling, Walking, and Hiking tours. Other activities include Bird Watching, Star Gazing, and City Walks.

Is free parking available at Doon Niwas?

Yes, free private car parking is available on the premises.

Policies & House Rules {#policies}

What are the General policies at Doon Niwas Homestay?

Our General Policies include: Check-in from 12:00 PM, Check-out by 10:00 AM. Pets are generally not allowed, but please contact us in advance for exceptions. Smoking indoors is prohibited, outdoor areas like the Balcony and Terrace are available.  We strive to provide a peaceful environment for all guests, and we appreciate your cooperation with our house rules. 

What is your Cancellation policy?

 Cancellation and prepayment policies vary according to the accommodation type and booking platform. Please refer to your booking confirmation from Doon Niwas for specific terms. Please enter your dates of stay and check the specific conditions of your required option on the Booking Portal you are using.

What is your policy regarding Quiet hours and Parties at Doon Niwas?

  • Quiet Hours: Guests must be quiet between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM

  • Parties/Events: Parties/ loud events and large gatherings are strictly prohibited to maintain the peaceful atmosphere of our Gated society.

Is the property family-friendly? 

Absolutely! We are a family-friendly homestay and welcome children of all ages. We offer a peaceful environment, an indoor games area, and have a Sofa-Cum-Bed, or extra Eeds/ Cots available on request.

Is there a minimum age requirement for check-in?

 The minimum age for check-in is 18 years old. Guests must present a valid photo ID as address proof, such as an Aadhar card or Driving Licenseu upon check-in.

Do you allow extra guests or children?

Children of all ages are welcome. Children 10 years and above will be charged as adults. Extra beds/cots are available upon request and are subject to availability, potentially incurring an extra charge.

Do you offer any discounts for long stays?

Yes, we offer attractive long-stay discounts, including a 10% reduction on the tariff for bookings of 7 nights or more. Please contact us directly for monthly rates.

Are pets allowed at Doon Niwas?

 No, for the comfort and safety of all our guests, pets are not allowed inside the apartment.

Is the apartment wheelchair accessible?

 As the apartment is located on the first floor with stairs access, we regret that it is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for guests who find climbing stairs difficult.

The Stay & Amenities/ Services {#amenities}

What Amenities/ Services are available at Doon Niwas apartment?

We offer exceptional services to enhance your stay, Amenities include complimentary parking, free Wi-Fi, towels and bed linen, a private entrance, free maid room cleaning service, efficient housekeeping, and a washing machine facility or laundry upon request.  Our common living room and well-equipped kitchen with a dining table provide spaces to relax. The apartment also features two balconies, an open terrace,  gated community with Security Guard. And offers Moussorie and Maldevta Mountain views. Enjoy our beautiful green surroundings for ultimate relaxation. 

Is Wi-Fi available at the homestay?

Yes, free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment and on the terrace. The connectivity is ideal for work-from-mountain stays and video calls.

Is housekeeping or laundry service provided?

 A. Yes, we offer complimentary Maiid cleaning service on alternate days. Washing machine facility is available on request, extra charges apply.

Is AC- Air Conditioning or heater available in the apartment?

AC- Air conditioning service is currently not available, but will soon be offered as an optional paid service, for an extra charge of Rs 500 per day. Additionally, Heaters can be requested during the winter season for an extra fee of Rs 300 per day.

Do you provide car, bike, or scooter rentals?

Yes, we provide Scooty on rentBikes and Cars rental services for our guests can be arranged on payment. 

Food & Kitchen Access {#food}

Can guests access the Kitchen facilities?

Private Modular Kitchen is accessible to guests for Cooking Food on request, preparing tea/coffee, or storing food items in Refrigerator. We provide most of the Utencils required for Coooking. Kitchen if required will be extra Rs 300/ day. We kindly request guests to maintain cleanliness. Please inquire with our staff for specific guidelines during your stay. 

Is there a kitchen facility and is there an extra charge for using it?

Yes, the apartment includes a well-fitted, fully functional kitchen with a Gas stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, Toaster, Water Purifier and kitchenware. There is typically an extra fee for using the full kitchen facility of Rs 200- 300 per day. Please confirm the current charges at the time of booking.

What are the Languages spoken by Hosts:?

The Languages Spoken by Hosts: are: English, Hindi and Punjabi

Is breakfast included in the tariff? 

IBreakfast is not included in the base price, as we provide a fully functional private kitchen for you to cook your own meals in the attached private Kitchen and cater to your preferences. You can also order Food online from Swiggy, Zomato. Alternatively, numerous restaurants are a short drive away.

Do you provide lunch or dinner service? 

We do not offer lunch or dinner service, but you can order Food online, or Cook your own food in attached private Kitchen. Alternatively, numerous restaurants are a short drive away.

What are the meal options available?

A. You can either prepare your own dishes in our fully equipped private kitchen or conveniently order from popular delivery services like Swiggy, Zomato, and others.

Can we cook our own meals in the apartment? 

Yes, the apartment features a fully functional well-equipped kitchen, available for your exclusive use which you can access for a small daily fee, typically Rs 200–300 per day. This covers gas, utilities, and general kitchen maintenance. There is a small daily fee, typically INR 200–300 per day, to cover gas and general utilities.
